CHUANG Stage is seeking Greater Boston-based non-union and union actors for The Sitayana (or “How to Make an Exit”), directed by Tushar Mathew. Sita 46 is the one who makes an exit, age 46, and also plays other characters. The production seeks an ensemble of five desi femme or nonbinary actors with diverse desi backgrounds, gender expressions, body types, generations, movement languages, and abilities who are willing and excited to collaborate, improvise, and move with fellow cast members and the director. Actors fluent in multiple languages are welcome. Rehearsals and performances take place at Boston Center for the Arts, primarily on weekday evenings and weekends, 5 or 6 days per week. First rehearsal is September 1, 2026, and closing is October 31, 2026. Rate is $450 per week non-union or $551 per week union under an SE contract.
