A semester-based, 16-week internship providing students with hands-on experience supporting patients, community programs, and nonprofit operations. Interns assist with patient communication, intake form review, chart preparation, non-clinical documentation, provider communications, supply restocking, device inventory, community partnerships, advocacy, administrative functions, educational materials, patient feedback surveys, and outreach campaigns. Qualifications include strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple tasks, an interest in low vision, nonprofit operations, or healthcare advocacy, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. The internship is 20 hours per week, with hybrid availability on Mondays, Wednesdays, and one half day of the intern's choice. The anticipated start is in February, with the possibility of extension.
