Galilee School is seeking a Senior Youth Worker to lead quality youth work practice in a trauma-informed educational setting supporting young people from diverse and complex backgrounds. The role provides individualised student support, develops strategic interventions addressing attendance and engagement barriers, supports regulation and re-engagement, facilitates intensive support programs, and builds relationships with families, service providers and external agencies. Responsibilities include mentoring Youth Workers, participating in case conferences, supporting Positive Behaviour Support Plans and Individual Learning Plans, managing complex case documentation, analysing attendance data, delivering staff training, and assisting with student transportation. Applicants should have substantial youth work qualifications and experience, including complex case management in trauma-informed settings, strong communication and collaboration skills, experience supporting vulnerable and disadvantaged young people, current Working With Vulnerable People registration, a current driver's licence for manual and automatic vehicles, and Mental Health First Aid training or the ability to obtain it. The position is based at Kambah and Holder and reports to the Head of Student Support.
