Galilee School is a trauma-informed educational setting supporting young people from diverse and complex backgrounds. The Senior Youth Worker leads quality youth work practice, addresses barriers to student engagement and attendance, provides daily support aligned with Individual Learning Plans and Positive Behaviour Support Plans, and mentors Youth Workers within the Student Support Team. Duties include coordinating individualised support, designing strategic interventions, supporting student regulation and re-engagement, facilitating intensive support programs, building relationships with service providers and external agencies, leading case conferences, supporting staff training, managing attendance data and case documentation, assisting with student transportation, and contributing to Positive Behaviour Support Plans and Individual Learning Plans. Applicants must have substantial youth work qualifications and experience, including complex case management in trauma-informed settings, current Working With Vulnerable People registration, strong communication and conflict resolution skills, and a current driver licence for manual and automatic vehicles. Mental Health First Aid training is required or must be obtained. The role is based in Kambah and Holder and offers meaningful work supporting young people in a values-driven, community-focused organisation.
