Makinson d’Apice is seeking an experienced litigation lawyer with a minimum of 6 years’ post-admission experience to undertake a variety of litigation and dispute resolution matters. Work includes general liability, professional negligence, intentional torts, employment, discrimination, privacy, vicarious liability and school-law related matters, mainly for defendants including commercial insurers. The role includes litigated and unlitigated matters, Court work and alternative dispute resolution. The successful applicant will independently conduct files with a manageable file load and a high level of autonomy, while receiving guidance from experienced partners. The role suits a high-quality lawyer who enjoys complex defence work, detail and has excellent oral and written communication skills. The firm offers an inclusive, personable, supportive and flexible working culture, with the option to work remotely 3 to 4 days per week and travel to Sydney when needed.
