Work independently and closely with the lead designer or principal-in-charge to guide institutional projects through construction. Responsibilities include reviewing construction documents, responding to contractor schedules, RFIs, change orders and shop drawings, liaising with the principal, architectural design team, project manager or owner's representative, performing field reviews, attending construction meetings, coordinating with consultants and authorities having jurisdiction, providing field feedback to improve staff knowledge, and contributing to office standards and quality control. Candidates should have experience with institutional or commercial projects, construction phase contract administration and site reviews, an architectural degree, technologist diploma or appropriate alternative qualification, strong English communication skills, knowledge of building codes and envelope details, excellent problem-solving and time management skills, and the ability to work under pressure. Experience with Revit, R-Form, Microsoft Teams and Procore is an asset. The position may develop into an associate or leadership role.
