Details.
The Versant RN Residency Program is a paid, evidence-based educational and training program designed for newly graduated nurses. Residents receive one-to-one preceptors, classroom and skills lab education, mentors, support groups, teamwork, and a gradual transition from novice to expert practice. The program lasts approximately 12 to 16 weeks, and successful residents are prepared to work as full-time, independent professional registered nurses. Requirements include less than one year of acute care hospital-based experience as a licensed RN before starting, a nursing GPA of 3.0 or above, a two-year commitment, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at application, current Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and a Fire and Safety card upon hire or within the first 30 days.
