This role operates donation trucks safely, lawfully and courteously, maintains trucks and equipment, performs safety checks, communicates with the Donations Coordinator, loads and unloads donations, secures loads, interacts professionally with donors, and assists with donation processing, recycling and store needs when not assigned to a truck. Other duties include communicating the Habitat mission, assisting with special events, complying with policies and procedures, and completing assigned tasks. Requirements include a clean driving record, at least five years of driving experience, eligibility for Habitat vehicle insurance, forklift training, the ability to lift at least 75 pounds with assistance, move merchandise over varied terrain, climb ladders, work varied hours including nights and weekends, pass pre-employment and random drug testing, get in and out of an 18-foot box truck, communicate in English, and maintain dependable transportation. The position pays $20 per hour, is non-exempt, and offers health insurance after 90 days.
