Internship and volunteer opportunity with an OASAS Certified Part 822 Medically Supervised Outpatient Program serving individuals with substance use disorders and/or problem gambling. Candidates must be enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program in psychology, counseling, or social work, have an interest in working with Chinese-speaking populations, commit to a full calendar year, and speak at least one Chinese dialect fluently. Case management duties include providing case management and referral services, working with managed care insurance companies, performing administrative functions, participating in research and outreach, maintaining reports and documentation, and attending staff meetings and training. Recovery counselor duties include screening and intake interviews, individual and group counseling under supervision, maintaining clinical records, providing information and referrals, case management, administrative and community outreach activities, and attending meetings, supervision, and training.
