Provide practical, clinical, administrative and emotional support to patients and their carers throughout the Gamma Knife treatment pathway. Working with the multidisciplinary team, you will support patient-centred care from admission through to discharge, including patient admission and clerking, venepuncture and cannulation following appropriate training and competency assessment, assistance with stereotactic frame fitting and removal, patient positioning, monitoring and documenting observations, general clinical care, patient transfers, discharge advice and handovers. The role also includes contacting patients with appointment and pre-treatment information, supporting infection prevention and control, preparing Gamma Knife equipment, maintaining clinical supplies, completing documentation, reporting incidents and supporting audit and quality improvement activities. The position reports to the Clinical Services Manager and Lead and Senior Radiographers. Salary: £25,500 to £27,000. Location: QSRC, Queen Square, London WC1N 3BG.
