Nexus Chambers is recruiting for two pupillages, one starting in March 2026 and one starting in July 2026. Pupils can expect to shadow, assist and learn from members across different practice areas and to be in court most days. During the first six months, pupils work under the guidance of two pupil supervisors, likely in criminal, family or mixed practice, assisting with real cases, drafting and legal research. During the second six months, pupils undertake their own work, with a particular focus on criminal defence in the Magistrates' Court, including regular trials, alongside opportunities in the Crown Court and occasional Family and Civil cases. Chambers provides a supportive environment, training, reviews, feedback, a buddy system and welfare support. The total award is £30,000, divided equally between an award during the first six and guaranteed earnings during the second six, with reasonable travel expenses and essential course costs reimbursed. Chambers has an excellent track record of offering tenancy to pupils. Applications must include one professional or academic reference and one personal reference. The application deadline was 4pm on 2 January 2026.
