Join SHIPS to develop skills in sexual health specific treatment through supervised practice, industry-leading training and support from a passionate team. Duties include delivering psychological treatment for sexual health, intimacy and related mental health issues, supporting marginalised community members, conducting WPATH assessments and preparing reports for gender affirmation referrals and procedures, maintaining clinical case notes, responding to emails, writing mental health review letters and professional reports, consulting with health practitioners, liaising with administration and practice staff, and attending monthly team meetings. Applicants must have AHPRA registration, Medicare registration, the ability to work independently and in teams, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a sensitive, collaborative approach to treatment. Training in trauma therapy, sex and intimacy treatment, and relationship therapy is desirable. Most sessions are currently provided via Telehealth, with face-to-face sessions in alignment with government recommendations.
