Studio VARA is seeking a Project Manager/Architect to lead the design and documentation of custom, high-end single-family residential projects from conception through construction administration. Responsibilities include design and detailing, technical documentation, cross-office expertise, task delegation, deadline management, interdepartmental coordination, project scheduling, budgets and fees, client relationships, and drawing deliverable schedules. Candidates should have a degree in architecture, California licensure or progress toward licensure, at least 10 years of experience with custom high-end single-family residential design and documentation, client management experience, strong technical detailing and construction documentation skills, construction administration knowledge, Revit proficiency, knowledge of Procore or similar software, and thorough knowledge of AIA contracts, specifications, and material research and development. Preferred qualifications include experience with SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Enscape, Twinmotion, Type III over podium and other building types, Word, spreadsheets, and Bluebeam. This is a hybrid, full-time exempt position, Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM, based at the San Francisco Mission District studio and from home. Benefits include employer-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance, PTO, and a 401k. Salary is $135,000 to $155,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
