Applicants should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Building Acoustics and or Environmental Acoustics, a desire to expand their knowledge and further develop their career in acoustics, experience with instrumentation and data analysis, and experience with acoustic modelling and calculations. The role of an acoustic engineer includes performing noise and vibration measurements in the field and laboratories, using computer modelling for prediction and verification, design, client liaison, and preparing reports and documentation.
