Plumbing Apprenticeships Victoria, a Registered Group Training Organisation operated by Master Plumbers, recruits and trains plumbing apprentices and hires them to host employers for the required duration. Apprentices receive field officer support, mentoring, aptitude testing, medical and hearing tests, pre-employment induction, work clothing and PPE, tool purchasing assistance, Employee Assistance Program and OHS advice, administrative support, and potential apprentice rotation. Host employers provide hands-on training and mentorship while PAV manages payroll, superannuation, workers' compensation, performance management, health and safety requirements, apprenticeship paperwork, and ongoing support. Flexible short, medium, and long-term placement options are available, with reduced costs for the first 1 to 2 years, fixed hourly rates, and the option to reassign an apprentice if work circumstances change.
