Tidda Counselling is seeking a passionate and dedicated Play Therapist to provide therapeutic play sessions for children, supporting their emotional, social and psychological wellbeing. Responsibilities include conducting individual play therapy sessions using child-centred and trauma-informed approaches, developing treatment plans, maintaining therapeutic relationships and accurate confidential records, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, participating in team meetings and case discussions, contributing to the LEGO therapeutic group program, providing parent coaching, staying informed about play therapy best practice, and undertaking professional development. Applicants should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Play Therapy, Counselling, Psychology, Social Work or a related field. A Certified Play Therapist credential is preferred. Experience providing play therapy to children, knowledge of child development, trauma-informed care and child-centred therapy, strong communication and interpersonal skills, collaborative ability, ethical practice, confidentiality, flexibility and compassion are required.
