Complete a 4-year apprenticeship and earn a Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology (AUR31220). Responsibilities include maintenance, inspections, repairs, servicing and fuelling of mobile and fixed plant machinery. Applicants must reside in the Upper Hunter Region and have a focus on safety, strong communication skills, a thirst for learning, willingness to adapt and reliable transport to and from work and training. Apprentices receive above award wages, a fully equipped toolbox in the first year, bonus incentives, TAFE fees and associated costs, uniforms and PPE, paid TAFE attendance, offsite training and practical experience with heavy mining equipment and mine maintenance, mining and CHPP departments.
