The Cockpit is looking for three skilled, London-based physical theatre performers to collaborate on Church Street Goes Wild, a physical theatre project for Inside Out, Westminster's free outdoor arts festival. Performers will devise and perform a 15 to 30 minute piece in a community-made public art installation during the week commencing 17 August. The role particularly suits performers with experience of devising, puppetry or dance. Essential requirements include at least two years of professional working and performance experience, devising experience, being comfortable working fast, enjoying collaborative work and being based in London. Desirable experience includes a connection to the City of Westminster, an interest in or experience with puppetry, and experience working on outdoor projects. Rehearsals are scheduled at The Cockpit from 18 to 21 August, with technical work on 22 August and the performance on 23 August. The freelance role involves no more than seven hours per day, eight hours including a one-hour lunch break, for six days. The fixed fee is £601.00 at the ITC / Equity 2026 rate. Shortlisted candidates will attend in-person auditions at The Cockpit during the week commencing 3 August.
