Responsible for the specimen collection process, including greeting patients, explaining test protocols, performing phlebotomies, ECG tracings and special test collections, maintaining client relationships, completing data entry, and preparing specimens for transportation. An approved Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent is preferred, phlebotomy experience is an asset, and excellent communication, computer, customer service, empathy, flexibility, adaptability, problem-solving, and confidentiality skills are required. A personal vehicle is required to support shift coverage across the SEIU area.
