Join the National Centre of Excellence in Intellectual Disability Health to develop research skills and propose an inclusive, highly translational and innovative PhD project focused on improving health outcomes for people with intellectual disability. Experience using quantitative or qualitative research methods and co-design would be highly regarded. Suitable applicants may have honours, masters or equivalent qualifications in medicine, allied health or related disciplines, and must meet the PhD entry requirements of their chosen university, including citizenship, residency or visa requirements. Research areas include health care innovation, the needs of specific groups, health policy and systems, evaluation, workforce and education, health resource design, cultural safety and inclusion, research methods, health outcomes, and health service modelling. The scholarship is valued at $40,000 per annum tax free for 3 years, with training and development opportunities available through host institutions. Scholarships are available at UNSW, the University of Sydney Centre for Disability Studies, the Mater Intellectual Disability and Autism Service and Mater Misericordiae at the University of Queensland, Telethon Kids Institute in collaboration with Curtin University, and the University of Melbourne.
