People completing work-based training or a work-based or dual degree programme leading to specialist status may be counted towards the staffing ratio upon presentation of a school or university certificate. Those completing part-time training as state-recognised educators may be counted for at least 19.7 and at most 28 hours per week. The employment relationship should continue until the work-based training ends.
