People preparing for the external examination to become an educator can prepare individually or attend a preparation course. Their work is generally counted towards the staffing requirement for a maximum of two years and up to 28 hours per week, starting at the beginning of the preparation course or, for individual preparation, after admission to the examination. The examination and any repeat examination must be taken at the next available date.
