People preparing for the non-student examination may prepare individually or attend a preparatory course. Their work is generally counted in the staffing quota for a maximum of two years, with up to 28 hours per week, from the start of the course or from admission to the examination. The examination and any repeat examination must generally be taken at the next possible date.
