SH:24 is seeking a suitably qualified medical practitioner to provide online PrEP care to study participants from July 2026 to the end of June 2027. The role includes assessing completed healthcare assessments, reviewing results, communicating with patients, providing prescriptions for HIV PrEP and doxyPEP where appropriate, referring patients back to face-to-face services and liaising with those services when necessary. The successful candidate will receive mentoring from senior clinicians in sexual health and may attend and contribute to daily clinical team meetings. Applicants should be experienced and appropriately qualified, have full registration with the Medical Council of Ireland and reside in Ireland. Experience managing sexually transmitted infections, completion of the STI Foundation Theory Course or equivalent, and experience delivering online health services are desirable. Applicants should be able to communicate comfortably about treatment, prevention, sexuality and personal relationships, work collaboratively, contribute to clinical governance and innovation, maintain confidentiality, use new IT systems securely and work within their scope of practice. SH:24 supports employee development through courses, books and onsite or remote learning. This is a remote role in the Republic of Ireland, working 19.5 hours per week from Monday to Friday for a 12 month fixed-term contract.
