Four-day summer internship at SV Law, acting in education and disability matters including educational placement disputes before the Special Educational Needs and Disability Tribunal, disability discrimination cases, school admissions and exclusions, with overlap into Court of Protection, Family Court and High Court Judicial Review litigation. Paralegals work closely with solicitors and may have substantial client contact, including attending meetings and taking witness statements from professionals. More experienced paralegals may be supported to advocate at telephone hearings and routine substantive SENDIST hearings. Applicants need at least an undergraduate degree in any subject, preferably a high 2:1 or First Class, or a GDL with merit or distinction. Legal or relevant work experience is desirable but not essential. The role requires confident verbal and written communication, good IT, research and analytical skills, a social conscience, interest in public policy, strong academics, a keen work ethic and motivation to succeed in or explore the legal profession. Internships are available throughout July, August and September 2026, with formal assessment for a possible full-time paralegal placement for one year from October 2026.
