The role requires assessing patients, diagnosing issues and developing tailored treatment plans. Military veterans may be well suited to the career due to their discipline, dedication, work ethic, ability to remain calm under pressure and problem-solving skills. Qualification requires a recognised osteopathy degree, which takes between 3 years 6 months and 4 years full time, or about 5 years on a flexible and part-time basis. Typical entry requirements include a minimum of 2 A levels, with at least one science subject, and/or a relevant BTEC. Mature students may be considered with Level 3 qualifications in areas such as massage and anatomy, personal training, anatomy or physiology.
