Details.
Join the Best Foot Forward Graduate Mentoring Program, a structured and supportive pathway for final-year podiatry students and recent graduates transitioning into independent practice. The program includes supported clinic induction, senior podiatrist mentoring, shadowing, reduced initial patient loads, weekly or fortnightly case discussions, and ongoing clinical support. Graduates develop skills in general foot care, nail management, debridement, risk screening, biomechanical assessment, gait analysis, footwear advice, orthotic prescription, diabetic foot assessments, wound care principles, and complex case management. As competence develops, graduates may receive supervised exposure to ingrown toenail surgery, shockwave therapy, dry needling where trained, advanced orthotic therapy, and complex musculoskeletal case management. The program also provides CPD guidance, multidisciplinary collaboration, career planning, and a supportive culture focused on clinical excellence, ethical care, wellbeing, and work-life balance.
