Requirements include a degree in network engineering, telecommunications engineering, or a related IT field, proven experience as a network security or information security engineer, experience creating and maintaining security systems, knowledge of current technologies and security principles, computer forensic tools, data loss prevention, disaster recovery, network engineering certifications, Mikrotik or Fortinet, XO, Proxmox or cloud services, and Linux OS. Responsibilities include maintaining switches and servers, configuring intrusion detection systems and firewalls, managing domains, VPNs, virtual private servers and email security, monitoring network protection, evaluating security technologies, testing security levels, reporting incidents, and occasionally updating security protocols and architecture.
