Lead a local Adult Glee Club through weekly rehearsals, performances and community events. The role involves leading a 90-minute rehearsal each week during the 10-week school term, teaching approximately 6 to 8 contemporary songs using provided arrangements and resources, teaching vocal parts, harmonies and performance skills, preparing members for gigs and community events, joining End of Month Socials, and collaborating with the wider Music Directors and Artistic Leadership teams. Applicants should have strong musicianship and confident music-reading skills, be able to teach vocal parts and harmonies, accompany rehearsals on piano and or guitar, and have experience leading choirs, vocal groups, ensembles or music classes. Great communication, reliability and a collaborative spirit are required. Vocal coaching, arranging, harmony writing, workshop facilitation or community music experience are advantageous. The role follows the Australian school calendar with four 10-week terms each year. Music Directors are paid a fixed base rate per rehearsal, with additional paid opportunities at festivals, special events, corporate gigs and larger Glee performances throughout the year. Adult Glee Club provides rehearsal venues, repertoire, arrangements, registrations, member communication, marketing and logistical support.
