UCLH offers midwifery opportunities with support through in-house qualifications, professional education and career transfer programmes. Newly qualified midwives can access a preceptorship programme, with support during their first year from a named preceptor, clinical practice facilitator and clinical lead. Development opportunities include ward-based training, classroom-based learning, mentoring, apprenticeships, undergraduate and postgraduate education, and clinical and non-clinical courses.
