Carry out laboratory activities accurately and efficiently, handle and prioritize specimens, perform specimen data entry and triage, complete manual and automated testing under technologist supervision, address quality assurance indicators, identify incidents and non-conformances, maintain equipment, prepare reagents and controls, maintain supplies and a safe work environment, and protect patient confidentiality. A high school diploma and WHMIS training are required. Registered Laboratory Assistant status is optional, previous hematology laboratory experience is preferred, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced laboratory environment is required.
