Carry out laboratory activities accurately and efficiently, handle and prioritize specimens, perform data entry and manual or automated testing under the supervision of a medical laboratory technologist, support quality assurance, identify incidents and non-conformances, maintain instruments, prepare reagents and controls, protect patient confidentiality, maintain supplies, and follow safety and environmental procedures. A high school diploma is required. WHMIS training, Registered Laboratory Assistant status, and previous hematology laboratory experience are noted, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
