Urbane is seeking an organized, hard-working, and experienced Maintenance Porter to provide building maintenance and cleaning tasks at Flatbush Central. Duties include maintaining commercial kitchen and public areas, sweeping, mopping, buffing and waxing floors, preparing trash and recycling, assisting with vacant booth occupancy, snow removal, minor repairs, inventory management, maintaining storage areas and equipment, supporting Mangrove Kitchen member check-in and check-out, and following company procedures. Candidates should have excellent communication and teamwork skills, be able to interact with vendors, customers, incubator members and contractors, work well under pressure and in crowds, understand janitorial procedures, lift up to 50 pounds frequently, stand for long periods, and have 1 to 3 years of Maintenance Porter and general repair experience in a fast-paced environment. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required. Evening and weekend hours are required. The full-time role is based in Brooklyn, New York, with a salary range of $40,000 to $45,000, medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), vacation and paid time off, and professional development support.
