Austin Auto Appraisers is looking for licensed insurance adjusters to perform certified appraisals and auto collision estimating for automobiles, commercial vehicles, motor coaches, yachts, motorcycles, heavy equipment, machinery, business asset valuations and other items of monetary worth. Duties include traveling to customer locations, assessing auto damage, taking accurate photos, documenting vehicle condition and writing estimates using Web-Est. Candidates must have insured reliable transportation, a computer, digital camera, cellular phone, valid driver's license and auto liability insurance. The role requires accurate report writing, documentation verification, research skills and timely report completion. Two or more years of experience in insurance claims adjusting, property damage appraising, estimating, body shop repair, inspection, quality control or visual inspections is required, along with knowledge of various cars. A Web-Est background is a plus, but training is available. Required education and credentials include a state P&C insurance adjuster license, a current Bureau of Certified Auto Appraisers IACP license and a high school diploma or GED. A bachelor's degree in general studies is preferred. Approximately 50% travel is required, with field work for the majority of the day. Excellent pay is $60.00 to $125.00 per hour. Spanish speaking candidates are preferred but not required.
