The Library Student Assistant provides excellent customer service to library patrons under the direction of Library staff. The role is available to currently enrolled undergraduate students at Wentworth Institute of Technology and may include Library Services Desk or Collections Maintenance duties. Responsibilities may include checking in and out, processing, retrieving, and shelving library items, performing opening and closing duties, answering basic questions about library services, assisting users with computers, printers, scanners, and other technology, shelf-reading and shifting collections, and performing other duties assigned by Library staff. Applicants must commit to assigned semester shifts, communicate effectively with the Wentworth community and library staff, work independently for stretches of time, have some familiarity with and enthusiasm for technology, and provide a resume. The schedule is 5 to 10 hours per week as required and may include opening, closing, and weekend hours. The pay rate is the current Massachusetts minimum wage. Applications are currently closed.
