Details.
Unpaid internships are available throughout the year for college and law school students, either voluntarily or for school credit. The program is designed to maximize student involvement with the county's criminal justice system and provides substantial court appearance opportunities for third-year law students, interaction with judges, attorneys and investigators, practical legal research and writing experience, court observation, a lecture series, and field trips. Many legal interns are offered judicial internships and subsequent employment as assistant prosecutors in Essex County or other counties.
