Responsible for the specimen collection process, from greeting patients through to preparation of specimens for transportation. Duties include performing phlebotomies, connecting and disconnecting holter monitors, 24-hour blood pressure monitoring, ECG tracings, special test collections, client relationship support, patient data entry, and specimen preparation. A recognized Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent related healthcare and phlebotomy experience is required. ECG experience is an asset, along with data entry, communication, interpersonal, customer service, independent working, teamwork, patient privacy, and healthcare provider relationship skills. The role requires travel to multiple Patient Service Centres and varied shifts.
