Teach KS 3 and KS 4 Science, predominantly Physics with some Biology and Chemistry. Plan and prepare relevant materials and activities, set and mark students' work, monitor progress, write reports, and help prepare and assess students for public examinations. The role includes collaborating with colleagues, participating in training and course development, pastoral responsibilities, maintaining student welfare and discipline, attending meetings and College events, and contributing to the wider life of the College. Essential requirements include excellent professional and subject knowledge, understanding of national and examination curricula, strong decision making, teamwork, communication, self-management and analytical skills, a good honours degree, the ability to enthuse students, a positive and flexible approach, and the ability to respond to the challenges of a College environment. Qualified teacher status, postgraduate qualifications, at least two years' Key Stage 3 and 4 teaching experience, and experience of extra-curricular activities are desirable.
