Teach KS 3 and KS 4 Science, predominantly Physics with some Biology and Chemistry. Plan and prepare relevant materials and activities, set and mark students' work, monitor progress, write reports, and help prepare and assess students for public examinations. The role also involves collaborating with colleagues, attending meetings and training, contributing to pastoral care, safeguarding and student welfare, supporting College activities and trips, and taking part in Parents' Evenings and Open Days. Essential requirements include excellent professional and subject knowledge, understanding of national and examination curricula, strong communication, teamwork, decision-making, organisation and analytical skills, a good honours degree, and the ability to enthuse students. Qualified teacher status, postgraduate qualifications, experience teaching the subject at Key Stage 3 and 4 for at least two years, and experience with extracurricular activities are desirable.
