Paid 10-week internships running from June to August, with start and end dates that may vary based on school schedules. Interns engage in hands-on projects across the U.S., including technical report writing, design plans, site visits, site plans, and technical documents. Each internship is tailored to the intern's skills, field of study, and interests, with exposure to water resources, water quality, wastewater, water treatment, and recycled water planning and implementation. The program includes a practical skills curriculum, mentorship, multiple professional development sessions per week, nationwide networking and collaboration, and opportunities to use technical skills on meaningful project work. Applicants must have completed one year of study in an eligible undergraduate or graduate degree, including civil engineering, environmental engineering, environmental science, geology or hydrogeology, biology, structural engineering, electrical and controls, systems engineering, mechanical engineering, construction management and inspection, chemical engineering, data science, architecture, or drafting and 3D design. Applications are open from September 1 through January 31.
