Tucker Ellis's Junior Attorney Corps program supports prospective associates, first-year associates, and lateral junior attorneys during their first 16 months with the firm. Two partners serve as principal coaches and mentors, and each associate receives an individual mentor for orientation, questions, and professional growth. Monthly group meetings address becoming a successful attorney, time entry, project and time management, professional routines, ethics, networking and business development, and law firm processes. Associates gain experience across departments, practice groups, matters, and teams, then are assigned to a department and practice group based on the interests and strengths they develop. The program provides an introduction to the law firm experience, exposure to varied practice areas, peer discussion, intensive training, and mentorship to support the transition into legal practice.
