Marmalade is not actively recruiting but is interested in meeting qualified trade professionals and people without jewellery experience who are keen to work with the company. Previous jewellery trade experience is generally preferred. Candidates should be positive, upbeat and energetic, have good listening and communication skills, build relationships, show a sense of urgency, handle setbacks, be willing to take a risk and enjoy working with beautiful products. Successful candidates undergo at least two interviews followed by a 12 week induction process with testing and retesting during probation. The final test must be passed with a score above 80% to become a full time permanent team member. The company encourages ongoing training, including Gem-A gemmology and diamond training, sales training, hallmarking seminars, valuation seminars and diamond grading courses.
