HFLS is continually looking for experienced linguists to deliver interpreting, BSL and translation services to customers in the community and commercial organisations. Work is offered on a freelance basis at doctor's surgeries, hospitals, schools, housing departments, social service departments and solicitors, as well as face-to-face conference interpreting for international gatherings. Suitable qualifications include a degree, NVQ Level 3 in Community Interpreting, Diploma in Public Service Interpreting, Diploma in Translation or the Metropolitan Police Test. Applicants should include their interpreting hours in their covering letter and register by emailing a full CV, certificates of qualifications and current DBS clearance certificate to interpreting@hfls.org.uk. After each assignment, submit a timesheet signed by the interviewing officer.
