NBBJ internships are collaborative and hands-on, with students working on real projects for world-changing clients. Interns are fully immersed in studio culture from May through August, gaining real-time experience and opportunities to contribute to real-world work. Responsibilities and opportunities include attending firmwide and studio meetings, contributing ideas and perspectives, gaining exposure to marketing processes and design and digital tools, completing bi-weekly design challenges, participating in local project site tours, networking with firm leaders, joining studio crits and firmwide functions, touring projects, and delivering a closing presentation. The program is open to undergraduate and graduate students currently enrolled in an accredited design program in the U.S. who will return to school in the fall. Opportunities may also be available for marketing, consulting, technology, and accounting students. Summer internships occur in most NBBJ U.S. office locations, with availability specified in the internship job posting. Applications require a portfolio of work.
