The 10-week internship program offers students real-world experience working for an innovative organization within higher education. Interns build professional skills, gain exposure to different aspects of the organization, research and create business recommendations supporting organizational goals, and present their projects and solutions to leadership. During weeks 1-2, interns meet their team, learn department operations, and become familiar with the community. During weeks 3-8, they work on a real-world project that impacts annual or Vista 2030 organizational goals. During weeks 9-10, they complete their project, identify a solution, and present recommendations to leadership. The cohort structure supports networking with other interns and professional staff, while weekly learning opportunities provide exposure to other departments, colleges and universities, and System leadership.
