The role involves developing design ideas, preparing operational floor plans, design concepts, presentations and constructible design development drawings, managing drawing reviews, initiating building code reviews, preparing FF&E specifications, coordinating communications with clients and consultants, and handling tender administration tasks. Additional responsibilities include project setup, value engineering initiatives, small to medium project management roles, construction meetings, deficiency walkthroughs, art and signage installations, and project filing. Applicants should have a minimum of 5 years of relevant hospitality and entertainment design experience, with an emphasis on hotel and resort design, excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational and time-management skills, and proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite. Knowledge of building codes, a professional work ethic and attention to detail are also required.
