Work outdoors with a team to carry out general labouring and rail track maintenance duties, including site safety protection, visual track inspections, operating equipment such as front end loaders and shovels, and welding new rail or repairing broken rail. Training is provided on and off the job, with a training plan covering introductory rail skills through to advanced skills. The role generally averages 38 hours per week, usually between 7am and 3.30pm Monday to Friday, with possible rostered work outside these hours, overtime, on call and call outs. Flexible working arrangements may be available where operational requirements permit. The starting total remuneration package in NSW is $59,764, including base salary and superannuation, with opportunities for career progression within ARTC.
