Songbird Studios is seeking experienced singing teachers and vocal coaches for its Marin studio, with additional studios in Nob Hill, Noe Valley, and the Inner Sunset. The role involves coaching individual lessons using standard vocal exercises and techniques, supporting student confidence, assisting with showcases, workshops, and open mics, attending training and continuing education sessions, and contributing to a collaborative team environment. Applicants should have at least one year of one-on-one voice teaching experience, music or singing experience with completed music training, a basic understanding of vocal tract physiology, vocal styling, improvisation, piano skills, music theory, and the ability to work with children, teenagers, and adults. Songwriting, live performance, group class, workshop, piano, guitar, and voice science experience are additional assets. The studio offers $40 to $60 per hour, with potential increases based on performance and experience, plus paid time off, healthcare options, retirement matching, continued education, and payment for cancelled, rescheduled, or no-show lessons. Available positions include hourly part-time coaching at 10 to 20 hours per week and substitute coaching with varying on-call hours.
