Provide a high quality, professional counselling service for young people in London secondary schools and colleges. The role involves working with pastoral and other school teams, signposting students to support services, responding sensitively to diversity, maintaining professional links with education and support staff, reporting safeguarding concerns, completing counselling documentation and case records, attending clinical supervision and professional development, and contributing to a responsive and ethical counselling service. Applicants must have a professional qualification as a counsellor, counselling psychologist or psychotherapist from a UK university or equivalent, knowledge of safeguarding children and young people, demonstrable experience working with children and young people in a mental health setting, and the ability to work independently, liaise with professionals, connect empathically with young people and create a safe environment.
