LINK is seeking a Head of Data to lead its Data Department, including Data Engineering and Analytics, and deliver the data strategy, architecture, governance, reporting and modernisation agenda. The role involves refining and implementing the data strategy, leading database optimisation and migration to modern platforms such as Databricks or Microsoft Fabric, overseeing analytics solutions, data quality and governance, secure data pipelines, reporting and Power BI optimisation, and developing a team of approximately 10 data specialists. Candidates should have strategic data leadership experience, a background leading data engineering and analytics teams, strong knowledge of data architecture and platforms, experience with SQL Server and migration to modern platforms, and expertise in data governance, data quality, secure integrations, stakeholder management and regulatory compliance. Desirable skills include advanced analytics and business intelligence, Power BI model optimisation, change management, supplier management, and the ability to explain complex data concepts clearly. This is a permanent role with hybrid working, requiring a minimum of one day per week at LINK's Harrogate head office, and candidates must be within reasonable commuting distance.
